Job Description
Salt Lake City Firm has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Designer to work in a design capacity. Specifically, the client is looking for a degreed Engineer pursuing EIT or PE registration (4-6 years of experience), or a very experienced Senior Mechanical Designer (with at least 10 years of full design experience) to design projects such as retail, educational, multi-family, public works and commercial office. Our client has a reputation as quality as their work, and they desire a very experienced engineer to work on HVAC and Plumbing projects.
Job Description:
" Design of HVAC and Plumbing Systems for hi-rise facilities, healthcare projects (hospitals), educational buildings and other large scale commercial projects.
" Performing of heat load calculations, equipment sizing and layout, pipe sizing, and P& ID's for construction documents. Use of analysis software to determine loads and AutoCAD for design and drafting purposes.
" Creation of bid packages, on-site field work during the construction phase.
" Work with Project Managers to determine scope of work and help with coordination efforts with clients, consultants and city officials.
